I photograph.

Photography is a personal experience for me. Instead of speaking or writing, I communicate my motivations, emotions, inspirations and gentle understanding through the use of dynamic color, line, shape, movement and textures.

I photograph relatively simple subject matter. My goal is to show that there is beauty, poignancy, and value in everyday "common" objects. Often the impact of subtle features changes something ordinary to the beautiful. I have learned that if I am patient, I almost always see something extraordinary. I would like to say that I've chosen my subject matter carefully and with much consideration, but the truth is often times it comes wildly, irrationally, with no thought or foresight and always whole-heartedly. For me, this is another way of saying I don't choose my subject matter at all...it chooses me.
